Announcing Enhancements to Self Service Log-in Security

Effective December 12, 2008, we are enhancing log in security to Employee Self Service (ESS) tools such as, Electronic Pay Statement, Paid Time Off, Direct Deposit, W-4 and Overtime\Part-time. In addition, we are eliminating the use of Social Security Number (SSN) as your user ID. Other changes include:

  Fully personalized User ID selection to make remembering your access information easier than ever;

  Alpha-numeric passwords to increase the security of your log in information,

  Challenge questions for easier account management. The challenge questions can be used to help you re-set your password or have your User ID emailed to you;

  Preferred email address registration to allow account information to be sent directly to the email address of your choice.

  Please note: The same ID and password used for Employee Self Service is also used to gain access to the Prudential Employee Savings Plan (PESP) website (www.prudential.com/pesp). Please be aware that changing your ID/password on PESP or ESS will affect both systems since the ID's and passwords are synchronized.

If you have already made this change from SSN to a more personalized User ID, you will still need to go through the re-registration process, however, you can choose to keep your existing personalized User ID.

If you have any questions, please call 1-800-PRU-EASY (1-800-778-3279), and follow the prompts for “Payroll and Employee Records”. Customer Service Representatives are available Monday through Friday (except holidays), 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern.
